This hotel is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a relaxing vacation. the husband and wife team who runs it ensures that every detail is attended to. the rooms are spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. the service is impeccable, with friendly staff always ready to assist. the breakfast spread is delicious and offers a wide variety of options to suit all tastes. the hotel also boasts great facilities, including a sauna, steam baths, an exercise room, and a swimming pool with a unique current swimming gadget.
Some areas of the hotel could use a bit of updating to enhance the overall experience.

The hotel had a sauna and steam baths, which were great for relaxing after a long day of exploring. The exercise room was well equipped and allowed me to get in a good workout. The swimming pool was also a nice feature, especially with the gadget that let me swim against the current. The hotel's location was perfect for me, as I was able to enjoy hiking and biking in the area. being only a short drive away from Munich was a huge plus, as it allowed me to easily explore the city.
There were some aspects of my stay that I didn't enjoy. the hotel seemed to cater mainly to retired people, which made it difficult for me to meet other guests my age.

Great for older people looking for a peaceful vacation, with plenty of hiking and biking options nearby. the indoor pool is definitely worth mentioning, as it has a tropical spa and a variety of relaxation options. the sauna and steam rooms are nice but only available on alternating nights. Best aspects: the Alpenhof is very well managed and has tons of facilities despite its smaller size. They have a neat swimming pool where you can swim against the current and a basic but decently equipped workout room.
There isn't much nightlife around for younger folks. the small selection of bars caters primarily to an older crowd.
